If you had a five day vacation would you choose to go to London or Paris?

Hello,

I would say, without a doubt, that if I had to choose between London or Paris for a five day vacation that I would choose the latter.

Why?

Two reasons:

1. Paris tends to have better weather. I can imagine how awful it would be to take a vacation and have it be raining and cold the entire time.

2. It is my impression that Paris will present more of a “cultural experience.” It is my impression that you are from the USA or Canada, and I believe that vacations are often most memorable the farther out of your comfort zone you travel. Now, going to Paris is not a culturally drastic thing to do, it is not my impression that you will be shocked to any degree, but the little, more subtle things — like food, the disposition of the people, the language — may present more of a challenging and, in the end, interesting vacation.

Both London and Paris  present plenty of options for a five day visit, but, in the end I must go with Paris, as it is my impression that more of an interesting encounter can be taken away in the capital of France rather than England.

Note: This answer was cultivated with the assistance of an English man — he said go to Paris, I agree.

Thanks,

Wade

Thanks so much for the answer. I hadn’t even thought about the weather! I think we have pretty much decided on Paris.
