Nanjing — whose name means “Southern Capital” — has been a center of Chinese economic, social, and political life for nearly two thousand years. There is a lot to dig into there, and I doubt if I could even scratch the surface in only two days. Repeated trips may be in order.
If anyone has any story ideas or suggestions — or would just like to see videos or photos of places in the city, please let me know.
Editor’s note, 4.23,2012: This Nanjing trip has been postponed until April 29th.
