This is a collection of information on travel health, how to stay healthy while traveling, as well as medical philosophies and practices around the world.
It is my impression that 80% of staying healthy while traveling comes from taking preventative measures. In point, if you analyze each situation that you find yourself in for health risks and then take appropriate action, you have travel health 80% taken care of.
Tips for staying healthy while traveling
Traffic and transportation tips
Always take extreme caution while crossing any street.
Food and eating health tips
Try to cook for yourself as often as possible.
Always wash fruits and vegetables before eating. This also means fruits whose peels you do not eat, as touching the peel and then touching the fruit can cross contaminate the edible portion.
Try to avoid eating uncooked vegetables in restaurants. In point, restaurants often do not wash their vegetables well enough to insure that you do not get sick.
