Moving on up …
The Vagabond Journey Youtube channel just went over 10,000 subscribers.
This is a YouTube milestone. Officially, it means I’m now a “bronze” level creator. The next level up is at 100,000.
Whenever I can block out the time I’ve been working a little more diligently on video. I enjoy it, but the time it takes to do is absurd. A full day of editing for one vlog, minimum — and that’s doing it fast and sometimes leaving in minor mistakes.
Basically, this vlog is a practice ground for more in-depth film projects — kind of like how at one time this blog was a practice ground for writing projects. It’s practice for filming in live situations solo, editing, and speaking in front of a camera. All skills that I need to develop by brute force if need be.
Media is now multimedia. I imagine that someday soon there will pretty much no longer be any reporters who just do text, or just do video, or just do stills. You need to be able to do it all. A reporter who can go out into the wilds and do the job of a crew of five is going to be the one getting the opportunities to go out in the wild … which is all that I’m really in this for anyway.
So if you haven’t already, please subscribe to our Youtube channel.

Yes, the amount of google account names that have been swiped is ridiculous. They should really have an unused name limit, where if you don’t use the email address other people can swipe it. This just recently became really apparent to me when I tried to get my daughter a gmail address. Yes, someone already has sausagegiraffe@gmail.com. No joke.
