I make a short film about a dragon boat racing team from the most unlikely of places.

At the end of last year I went to a dragon boat racing event that was held on a reservoir in Penang. Teams from all over the world streamed in to race, but one team in particular caught my attention: the Iranian female dragon boat racing team.
Apparently, an English guy brought dragon boat racing to Iran around 15 years ago and it caught on as a sport for women. Petra and I filmed them throughout their races and something about it showed the fundamental essence of sport.
