If you are a certified English teacher, your best option would probably be to get a job at an international school in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Private schools cater to upper class citizens of Tajikistan as well as European and North American children who are currently residing in the country. The school year runs from September to June, so the best time to apply is in the summer. The following is a list of private international schools:
The Dushanbe International School is a private school that offers classes for students from prekindergarten through grade 11. They hire native English teachers with a teacher certification or a bachelor’s degree and two years of teaching experience.

The Public Affairs department of the US Embassy in Dushanbe also sponsors US citizens to live in rural Tajikistan for ten months and teach English. This is mostly a volunteer job, with airfare, housing, medical insurance, and monthly living expenses covered along with a stipend of $2,500 upon completion. The term starts in September.
