These are some photos of the monkeys that would invade my place in Bangalore (a truly awful place, if I have ever known one). They would jump up on my porch and, like silly little gringos, we would throw carrots at them and watch them fight. Googlely Eyed Man, our landlord, was not amused. This was the pack of monkeys who made our neiborhood their turf. Around once a week they would come through and ravage everything. We began to recognize them after a while, as the same troupe always came through, and gave them names. Fat Monkey, not in these photos, was our favorite……well, because she was really fat and clumbsy and would try so frigging hard to do what all of the other nimble little monkeys would do easily. I was told that these monkeys are a real menance, but everyone seemed to quietly enjoy them.
