I have only noticed kir pidesi in the west of Turkey, I suppose the east has its own delights. But when traveling in the great expanse between Istanbul and Ankara look for the little street carts that say “Kir Pidesi” for a good cheap meal.

Kir pidesi are cheese, meat, or spinach filled pastries in Turkey. They cost between .50 and 1 Turkish Lira.

Turkish street food: kir pidesi.

Kir pidesi is sold all over the streets of western Turkey and is very cheap and filling. Good vagabond food.
