It is official: the VagabondJourney.com family should be setting up a base in China at the end of this March. Chaya has been offered a good teaching job and China is my favorite country on earth. Petra will be able to go to work with her mother. I will be able to travel solo at will. It sounds like a good deal for all of us.

Right on. It sounds like a good deal, and the last I knew I loved China. I will probably be able to move around quite a bit, so I may be out in Xinjiang soon!

      Hello David,

Those types of articles may soon go into books. They have about 0 value being published online. Also, there is little respect or accomplishment to be gained from being an internet writer. I’ve been at this since 2004, I’m near the top of the mountain of my profession, and I’ve gone essentially nowhere and accomplished little. If I put all the time I’ve put into this site into writing books at least I would be able to say that I’ve written five or six books and sell them in person/ online. Independent bloggers are and probably always will be sorry schmucks ticking words out to oblivion. No matter how many readers I have, no matter how many visitors come to this site daily, no matter how much money I make, at the end of the day I’m just a blogger. This was something that I’ve never thought much of or cared about before, the goal was always just to make enough money to travel by writing. Now I do this, but, seriously speaking, it’s not enough. I need to do more than this. Thanks for all you help and support over the years. It has been and always will be much appreciated.
