This is just a note to readers:
These entries that are being published in Iceland are not properly temporal: they are being posted well after the incidents they cite occurred. I am now in Borgarnes, well into this bicycle trip and I’m publishing entries of things that happened a week or so ago. Due to a stark lack of internet access outside of Reykjavik, these Iceland entries are also being scheduled, which means that I’m getting online and publishing five or six entries to go up at intervals throughout the week rather than publishing all of them on the same day.
I just don’t want people saying, “You’ve been in Iceland for two weeks and you are still in Reykjavik preparing to go!?!”
No, I’m not in Reykjavik, but important events happened there that are pertinent to the story as a whole and should be published.
This is the prime disadvantage of publishing a travel blog: the story must be written as it happens, rather than far after the fact. The travel blogger is not permitted much time between the event and its retelling, and this means that recording a complete journey as it is being played out is a very difficult thing to do. I understand why most travel writers lean towards publishing articles in magazines and stories in books rather than running a daily travel blog: the former two options are WAY easier.

It’s known to be reliable and dirt cheap.
Bwahaha never mind, I just read what I wrote.
But I can imagine the beauty there is enough to make you forget about your computer for a while.

LinkYeah, it is nice being outside the bounds of internet for a while. But duty often calls haha. worked hard all day yesterday until some dickhead threw me out of his hostel for being there too long haha. Anyway, going good. This country is beautiful. If I only had $26,000 per month that global data plan would be mine again!
