FAQ about visas to Hungary
Can you leave Hungary after the completion of a residency permit and then return on a tourist visa?
Our family has been living in Hungary for two years on a residence permit/visa that is scheduled to expire soon. Can we leave the country when it expires and return after expiration on a 90 day tourist visa to extend our stay through the summer?
Hello,
I think what you propose is possible — to leave the Schengen region at the end of your residency permit and then return on a tourist visa — but I would highly recommend double checking with Hungarian immigration.
If so, then take a look at our Schengen visa community forum. It’s a community just for people who have questions or concerns related to Europe’s Schengen immigration zone. |
