How long is my boyfriend banned from Norway after overstaying his visa?
Typically, Schengen bans are usually for around 3 years. Your boyfriend will need to check with the Norway consulate though. It is a little difficult sometimes to get information about these bans.
Scandinavian countries tend to be a little more strict as far as immigration goes than some others in the Schengen region. There are not any immigration checkpoints between Schengen countries so your boyfriend could try to get in through France or Italy and then travel from there to Norway. Just tell him to make sure that his flight goes there direct and does not have a layover in Germany, Switzerland, or the Netherlands. Also, tell him to wait at least 91 days since his last exit before returning so he is not overstaying the same visa twice.
