Cheap flights to Colombia tips

Jetblue

  • Flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday tends to be cheaper than flying during a weekend.
  • Be sure to check all the taxes and fees. Spirit Air might advertise an unbelievable price, but after you add up all the fees you might not be paying much less than flying the much more comfortable Jet Blue.
  • If your destination is a city other than Bogota, it might be cheaper to book one flight to Bogota and then a domestic flight or bus if you have the time to your final destination.

Hello Wade, I found your site on the net awhile back, and have been following your travels with your family with great interest. Soon I’ll be traveling from south Mexico through Central America and on to South America and probably onward around the world for long term with no fixed itinerary. All I’ve read says don’t try to fly on one way tickets in Latin America, all air lines will want proof of onward ticket. I saw where you were shoping for the best price to fly from Colombia back to Mexico. Can I ask, were you able to fly to Colombia on oneway tickets? Are fake eTickets the solution? I’ve been trying to figure out cheapest way to get to Mexico. Thought about buying round trip to Cancun not useing return portion and going overland to Panama. when it comes time to fly to South America I’m stuck again. I was wanting to go overland through South America and go onward on my own time. What is it they’re looking for a return ticket back to USA or out to another country? This all seems to be quite a pain. Am I over analizing this and being paranoid? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m from Indiana in the US and would probably fly from Chicago to Mexico. Thanks, and all the best to you and your family. Chris Brockman
