This is my home.

I am from Western New York state in the USA.
This is a part of the world that few know about who’ve never been there.
We’re not New York City, we’re not the mid-west, we’re not Appalachia, and we’re definitely not Canada. We’re our own thing — our own cultural pocket within the broad body of the United States.
Growing up I naturally figured that other people around the USA were just like the people I’d grown up around. I never really found anything special about WNY back then. But then I left when I was 18 and realized that the world on the outside was very, very different.
For me, WNY is the best place on earth.
