While you’re there, you can even take an excursion on the water thanks to electric boat motors that can handle the waves. Dolphins are common in the area, so boat excursions are necessary for the full experience.

San Diego, California 

Live closer to the West Coast? Or are you just more interested in the Pacific Ocean? If so, then it’s time to head to the iconic beaches in San Diego. From South Mission Beach to Pacific Beach, there are many options here to explore. You can try out some surfboarding at La Jolla, where the waves get big, or head down the boardwalk on Oceanside. San Diego is also a large city with many restaurants and stores to explore. You can go to the San Diego Zoo or check out Balboa Park when you’re not spending time near the shore. 

Cannon Beach, Oregon

The first three places on this list are ideal if you want to lounge in the sun or get in the surf. However, you may prefer a moodier type of beach. This area is also the perfect place to try some fresh seafood.
