Traveler in Istanbul about New Vagabond Journey Travelogue

Merry Christmas right back to you too, Craig!

I appreciate all that help that you offered to give me with transferring over to Wordpress. I tried that "famous five minute instillation" and could not figure the damn thing out. Oh well, I just through together my own little blog, and think that it will do the job. Just wanting to keep things simple. But I appreciate your help though!

I wish you the best in Turkey. I think that I will be going Istanbul way via the Ukraine ferry from Odessa. I home to be sipping tea in Turkey by the middle of February.

Where are you going from Istanbul?

Walk Slow,

Wade
Howdy --

gag, what a mess. But what will become of my RSS feed for your site now?  Self-published pages but no feed for me?

I'm sure found this service already: http://www.ukrferry.com/ -- this past spring I was contemplating using it to go from Georgia to Bulgaria.

I've got this monster gap of 3 months to figure out what I'm going to do with myself. I've no interest in heading down to Greece any more, and as lovely as Georgia is, it's the middle of winter in these former USSR countries -- not a lovely scene when all there is to see is gray communist apartment blocs and several meters of snowfall. Such places are best left for summer, when the people are happy and the countryside can be sauntered through. Keep that in mind for the Ukraine. cold cold cold

Istanbul has so much energy -- like three countries worth crammed into one town. However, the government is pulling my opinion of the country down, by censoring YouTube access (blocked) and canceling New Year's Eve! (are you kidding me? your region has been nothing but violence for many millennia).

Anyways... I don't have much of an option but to head south. South through Turkey and I guess into Syria/Jordan/Egypt -- to meet up with Tatiana in Cairo, I guess?  Sounds awfully rushed for 12 weeks, but she wants to see me for my birthday on 12 April.

Who knows...
