A good set up for long distance bicycle travel. This photo shows all of the equipment that you need for a long term journey by bike. There are panniers, water bottles with holders, a gear box in the front, and a gear rack in the back.

Bicycle travel is a probably the best and cheapest way that I know to travel in Europe. You just get here, pick up an old bicycle, and away you go. Your don't have to worry about busses, trains, or taxis.

Luke has traveled by bicycle from Finland to Croatia, up to Bratislava and is now in Romania going towards Bulgaria and Turkey.
