Vagabond Explorer Magazine Has Arrived!

Sucre, Bolivia –

I don’t ready many magazines. Actually, at the moment I read no magazines. I hardly read the news or know about any current events in the world. If it’s important enough someone will tell me about it. For example, I first heard of the earthquakes in Japan while hitching in Chile from the guy who picked me up on the side of the road.

But when I heard Wade had decided to produce his own magazine solely about travel I was excited. When he asked me to contribute a little bit I was even more excited. Why? One thing I’ve realized while traveling is that the most successful and/or happiest of people I’ve met don’t do something solely to produce wealth and monetary security. They do it because they love what they do and the money then follows the passion. Sometimes it’s more wealth than they know what to do with but more times than not its just enough for them to enjoy life and continue to do what they love. Wade is one of those whose in the latter category. Just barely. What he does brings him joy and he is always hoping that someday it provides him the monetary resources he needs to provide for himself, wife and child.

So here I am plugging his first magazine and hoping that things work out for the best. I’ve read it and think it it’s top notch. Not to mention that if you read it you may find a couple pages dedicated to yours truly.

If you have ever read my blog and couldn’t understand why I get angry over tipping a quarter, why I prefer to walk with all my gear than pay for a cab ride, why, at times, I would rather sleep in a bus station then pay for a nights accommodation, or if you want to know what’s happening in my life that I refuse to write about in this blog then this magazine can give you some further insight. Pay the $5.00, take a break from work, and enjoy a few good stories.
