Traveling around the world is a dreamboat for many people, but every trip needs some preparations, and questions connected with finance are the most important. Some people prefer to use cash, others like non-cash settlements, but in the end, everybody takes journeys from time to time and has to solve the problem of spending abroad. Which way of payment is most preferable, safest, and convenient?

Advantages of Travel Credit Card over Cash

According to , having a travel credit card is better than cash. Here are some points supporting this opinion. The non-cash settlement is more comfortable because of:

1. Safety. The majority of people in Europe and the USA think that usage of bank transfers is more preferable abroad because of safety. You don’t need to take a great sum of real money if you have a card. Thus, you can spend big sums for different needs without fear of being robbed somewhere in the street. Such point is extremely important if you are going to take a trip to some exotic countries like India, Cambodia, and others with high crime rates. Real money can provoke street burglars, that is why it is better to care about it in advance.

2. Control over charges. Another important reason for selecting the clearing settlement is that you can define the sum of money available during the trip. Various credit limits can be chosen by the clients who prefer clearing settlements, and such limits may vary from 350 dollars (the smallest one) up to 720 dollars and even more per day. It all depends on your financial possibilities, duration of the trip, the type of the card and many other factors. Thus, choosing the necessary limit, you will not be able to spend more even if you want.

3. The opportunity of blocking. If you lost the plastic accidentally or it was stolen somehow, you may always block it by one telephone call to your bank. In this case, your funds will be safe while you are abroad. Then, you may reissue or unblock it upon returning home.

4. Simple solution of many problems. If you plan a journey to European countries, you may use only clearing settlement, because in such countries like Switzerland, Germany or France, the majority of purchases are made by cashless transfers and the ability to pay without real money is available everywhere. Hence, it may happen so that cash will be useless.

As you can see, cashless transfers abroad are more comfortable than money usage. Every person can find some advantages and disadvantages of each way of payment and have a full freedom of choice while planning his/her vacations or business trips.
