Travels in Montenegro
Jumping up out of a crappy hotel bed in Bar, I raced to the window to check out what the city really looked like. I had arrived in the dark, and I cannot say that this placed looked very impressive. My only impression of Bar was of half built buildings, empty lots, and people who seemed to not really know if a hotel existed in their city. So I looked out the window, excited to find what this part of Montenegro looked like.

I looked out upon a sunny morning, a few evergreen trees, and a notion that I was close to the sea. A further inquiry returned the knowledge that I was in a place where the mountains ran right down to the coast. Montenegro is not that bad. A quiet country where a traveler can listen to the wind blow and watch the day pass.
Realizing that Hitchhiking through potentially temperamental weather is not the best of ideas with a pregnant girlfriend, it was high time to find a way out of Montenegro and on to Albania. Perhaps someday I will return to this little country by the sea, perhaps I will just keep going. Chaya and I hopped a bus to Ulcinj, and then made our way to Albania.
