Monte Alban

Monte Alban was an ancient Zapotec city that is now in Oaxaca, Mexico in the heart of what has come to be called Mesoamerica. It was first constructed around 500 BC and was inhabited through around 750 AD. Around this point, the city was abandoned, but was briefly reoccupied on a minor level at various points up through the Colonial period.
