I was walking through the streets of Sanliurfa just minding my own business, when I came upon a school yard full of playing school children. I thought their little bright blue uniforms made them look like little dots moving around in rapid motion. I laughed.

School children at play, life is good.

Then one of them caught sight of me.

He yelled out, “Where are you from?”

Then all pandemonium broke out.

This is why I love traveling. I love meeting people. I love the attention. I love people calling out to me when I walk down the street.

I love being the nail that sticks out. I love being a square peg in a round hole.

I love it when other people find me just as interesting as I find them.

I love traveling.
