Money for Travel Writing

I find myself sitting in a hotel room in the southeast of Turkey seriously running out of money. I have $1,500 in my bank account, and I still need to buy a flight back to the USA for the birth of my first child.

I need to make money. Now.

I like publishing this travelogue, the other sections of Vagabond Journey.com, and answering reader’s questions, but this has become a full time job. I love publishing on the internet, but I need to make more money at it.

This is the song of my time. Even vagabonds need money too.

It costs me money to publish Vagabond Journey.com.

It takes a lot of time to publish Vagabond Journey.com.

I have hit a wall: I need money.

I thought that once I began receiving 2,000 visitors a day that I could live off of my adsense earnings. I thought wrong.

If I am going to continue publishing Vagabond Journey.com, I need to make more money from it.

Sadly put, this is the bottom line.

To these ends, I ask readers for donations. It is not necessary to contribute funds to this website, but it is necessary for me to make money to continue traveling and writing about it. I put at least 5 hours a day into writing, publishing travel photos, and answering reader questions. This is a full time job. But it is a job that I make very little money from.

If you like reading this travelogue, please make a donation now.

It cost money to go to internet cafes. It costs money to seek out hotels that have WIFI access. It takes loads of time publishing and sharing travel information, stories, and photos that I could otherwise spend on hedonistic pursuits or working a job that pays.

I love traveling.

I love writing.

But I need to make money.

If you like Vagabond Journey.com, please make donation now.

If I have previously taken the time to answer your travel questions and you appreciate my effort, please make a donation now.

I need money to travel.

Publishing travel information daily on the internet is a full time job.

I need money to continue. I am close to going belly up.

Please consider making a donation.

If each reader of this travelogue could contribute just $1 a week – 15 cents a day – I could keep publishing 2 to 3 travelogue entries, dozens of photos, and answering travel questions every single day. If each regular reader could contribute $52 a year, I could publish this website forever.

Please consider donating 1 USD a week – 15 cents a day- or $52 a year. I am running out of travel funds. I have heard the sirens and seen the blinking red lights: I need to make money now.

In exchange for your donations, I will work full time to make this website better every single day.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

Walk Slow,

Wade
