Scottevest, the maker of the 20 pocket travel jacket, has just come out with a new line of underwear which features a pocket hovering just over the frontal business area. The pocket is big enough for a cell phone, and the idea behind it is that travelers can hide their small electronic devices or even credit cards inside of it to prevent theft.

On the one hand, I feel as if this is a good idea, as I myself often store my travel valuables in a hidden pocket placed inside my jeans. Placing important articles inside of your clothing is a good way to keep off the light thieves and the pickpockets. On the other hand, if you were mugged you are often asked for:

1. Money

2. Wallet
3. Cell phone

Not being able to produce any of the above can be a dangerous move, for sure.

If mugged while wearing the Scottevest travel underwear, what else could you say but, “Excuse me, while I whip this out.”
