Travel Photos from China:

forbidden city beijing
Photo of the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. Mao presiding over all, being a great baldo.
china countryside
The Chinese country side. Farms, country roads, and girls walking down them with nothing to do all day. I like China. Photo taken near Taiyuan on hitch-hiking journey with Loren Everly in the summer of 2007. Photo taken by Loren.
hangzhou photo
Balloon vendors in the streets of Hangzhou, China. Hangzhou is at the terminus of the Great Canal and is a wonderful city in Eastern China. Photo taken spring 2007.
chinese scholar global college
Chinese scholar from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou who also teaches at Global College, Long Island University, China Center explains to us mischievous students about Taoism. We lost a student on this trip. Poor girl was never heard from again. Oh well.
hangzhou photograph
Umbrellas for sale in Hangzhou. They are bright colored, slightly ugly, and will mold in the rain. But they look pretty. These umbrellas are sold near the parks in China. I suppose they are meant to keep the Chinese woman's skin looking as white as possible. Asians like to try to look white. I want to look brown. Lets trade hides!
chinese poem
Chinese poem carved into a tree in the mountains surrounding Hangzhou. I have a running suspicion that it has something to do with small things.Photo taken in the spring of 2007.
hangzhou china temple
Photograph of a Taoist Temple in Hangzhou. I think these men are mutually guarding each other. They do not seem to be doing much else. The Tao is for laughing.
Chinese temple alter
Incense burner at the Taoist Temple in Hangzhou which overlooks West Lake.
great wall of china
The Great Wall of China stretching into the distant mountains. Mira peed on this great monument to mankind. Shhh!
chinese wine
Photo of a Traditional Chinese tavern. Inside there are people drinking down the good Chinese yellow wine. Like the poets of old.
