The following pictures were taken in Gyor, Hungary in the summer of 2008 on
my bicycle journey from the Czech Republic to Turkey.

Woven baskets in the Gyor market.

Luke the fruit pirate picking mulberries
on the side of the road after we decided to take a break from riding our bicyles.

A good set up for long distance bicycle
travel. This photo shows all of the equipment that you need for a long term
journey by bike. There are panniers, water bottles with holders, a gear box in
the front, and a gear rack in the back.

Another photo of equipment for a long
distance bicycle trip.

Bicycle travel is a probably the best and cheapest way that I know to travel in Europe. You just get here, pick up an old bicycle, and away you go. Your don't have to worry about busses, trains, or taxis.

A front gear box is a good place to keep
important supplies when traveling by bike.

Luke has traveled by bicycle from Finland
to Croatia, up to Bratislava and is now in Romania going towards Bulgaria and
Turkey.
