People in the bustling city of Granada, Nicaragua.

Erik the pilot playing guitar in one of the hotels that we stayed in while traveling in Central America. He is a traveler of the old guitar playing school.

Erik the Pilot's wounded tattoo. This happened after he failed to summit Volcan Maderas on Ometepe. He returned to the Finca Magdalena and promptly fell out of the shower. He then had to be stitched up by the local seamstress and ended up with this broken heart. Read more about this story at Erik the Broken Hearted and the Perils of Tropical Volcanoes.

Another photo of Erik the Pilot's broken hearted tattoo. This is a good traveler tale.

The first day I met Mira. She is trying to put on a show for me. I met her while traveling in Central America in the summer of 2006.

Erik the Pilot and a monkey in Ostional, Costa Rica.

Erik and the MINAE staff in Ostional, Costa Rica. They save the sea-turtles.

Punk Rock Wendy is what Erik the Pilot named this fat sea turtle on the beach of Ostional in Costa Rica.

Erik the Pilot looking very much the vagabond.
