Mayan women charging Lady the Tramp too much money for scarves. They tricked her by initially saying that they costs five quetzales (80 cents) each, and then when she went to buy four of them the girls tried to get 100 quetzales out of her. They lied. Lady the Tramp gave them back their scarves in disgusts and found them somewhere else in Panajachel for 10 each.

Guatemalan girls thinking that all white people are stupid. They said that their scarves costs five quetzales each, and then when it came time to pay for them they tried to get five times the amount of money that they originally stated. This is a common scam in tourists towns the world over. The trick probably works at least fifty percent of the time.
