Contributions to Vagabond Journey.com- Travel Funds Low

I recently received a contribution from a reader named Jennie in Wisconsin. I sent her out a postcard from Maine on my way out of the USA to Hungary. I know, it was not exactly a postcard from some far corner of the globe, but it was a thank you postcard none the less.

Reader contributions to Vagabond Journey.com are one of the ways that I can keep these travels going while spending so much time publishing on the internet. I really appreciate it when readers contribute ten or so dollars to the website and my travels . . . it really helps out a lot.

Where I stand now, the travel funds are not so good. I hate asking for contributions, but they do help out a lot. I put in around five to eight hours a day writing and researching travelogue entries, answering reader's questions, collecting travel information, and publishing thousands of photos from around the world.

I am also trying to publish more useful, tangible, and pertinent travel information to make this site a better resource for travelers.

Vagabond Journey.com is both something that I enjoy doing, as well as a full time job - I work on it all day long.

The more bean money that I can raise from publishing this website, the more time I will be able to work on it. The travel funds are lower now than they have been since 2003. Contributions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Walk Slow,

Wade

Hi Wade!

Disculpe - no interview yet. I did live in Panajachel, Guatemala for a time but hit it with a girlfriend (Andy said: Äll your friends are worried about you"- hahah) to Isla Utila in the Honuran Bay Islands to play house.
We decided weren't housebroken or otherwise domesticatible and bussed to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. I think I'll solo to Golfito for a duty free computodora (my eee pc was lost in a tuk-tuk in Pana), then across the border for David and Boquete in Panama. I'll write you sometime and maybe I'll stick someplace longer than a month.

Hope your laptop still writes.

best, Chris

Hello Chris,

It sounds as if you found yourself a hurricane force second wind! Will send you an email soon!

Hello Wade, I keep losing your Blog, I am not sure how to subscribe now, I guess I must just go to Blog by bookmark.

You are spending and impressive amount of work on your blog.

Note, you can easily put a Yahoo Groups or Google Groups subscribe link on a page. Then just paste each blog post into the the send email part, then readers have a way of knowing about updates.

Am I missing something or is there an RSS feed, or a way to receive emails?

Thanks, Andy Graham of HoboTraveler.com in Pucallpa, Peru trying to find the indigenous people with no clothes.

Wade says . . .

Nope, Andy, the site is 100% manual for now. No RSS feeds other than the post snipets that I still publish with Blogger. Though I will look into the Google groups email option. That could be good.

Thanks for the advice.

Wade
